Neelix

Neelix was born in the Delta Quadrant, on the talaxian homeworld. After the Haakonian's destruction of Rinax, a Talaxian moon, Neelix was one of the first to visit the devasted world. After the war, Neelix left his home planet and became a junk dealer, with an Ocampa named Kes as his girlfriend. Neelix is generally a cheerful soul who has a very positive effect on people. Neelix came on board the Voyager to help the Voyager find missing crew, held by the Ocampa. In the process, Neelix helped rescue Kes. They stayed on board the Voyager, and Neelix now serves as cook, guide, and self-appointed morale officer. Because of an incident with the plague ridden Vidiians Neelix now has one of Kes's lungs.
